Those numbers are looking good!
September 23, 2009 at 9:03 pm (Uncategorized)
We just received a SA test from doctor’s office this week and the numbers are significantly improved! After almost 3 months of twice weekly acupuncture and Chinese herbal tea twice daily, finally we have a hard proof that traditional Chinese medicine works for my husband! He has become a multimillion(10.5 million) dollar man now instead of just merely a million 3 months ago. Though we want to achieve 20 millions plus. We still yet have to receive a copy from doctor’s office but from the phone call from the nurse the other day, his motility becomes normal now (and that quality stuff is important) However his morphology is still below normal but better than the last test.
I am quite ecstatic about those results ;moreover, I am a true believer of Chinese medicine anyway. I just feel like we have hope and dream again and look like it is within our reach. We are running low on our saving for those expensive treatments. Just hope our dream will come true sooner!

It must be the best drama TV series show I have ever seen. I finished marathon watching from Netflix and on the Internet last week and the show still has not left my heart.
This show actually aired in Korea originally in 2003 and was a phenomenal hit all over Asia a year later. I heard it aired in China late at night (foreign shows always broadcast later at night to protect domestic shows) and it still swept the whole nation. The main actress, Lee Yeong Ae, has traveled to Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan several times for how successful the show is. I seem to remember it was so huge in Thailand, Singapore, the Phillipines and Malaysia as well. I think this show’s success lead to the Korean wave in Asia right now. I just read on Wikipedia this show is even popular in Eastern Europe, Africa and Iran right now. I am surprised that this show is so huge in those countries despite coming from a totally different culture background.
It is based on a true story around 500 years ago about the life of a Korean woman named Jang Geum. Inspired by the hardships of her parents, she aspired to grow up to be the highest kitchen lady in a Korean royal family. Yet with all her fate and destiny she was carrying since she was born, she became a royal physician for the King instead. All of the obstacles, discrimination and prejudice she had to endure in her life just made me cry over and over. The story is not just about the lives of these characters but also shows us how the beautiful and traditional Korean cooking and Chinese medical treatment (like acupuncture) could be connected and blended so well.
This great drama also showed us some dirty politics whose influence basically screwed normal folks’ lives away, demonstrated how much the love of parents can be to a child, showed us the love between true friends and love between a man and a woman who just want each other’s lives to be better.
I just cannot tell you enough how great this show is. It gives me tears, smiles, excitement, anger, love and inspiration all at once.

I have been so addicted to Korean TV series very much. Actually I have been watching Japanese and Korean TV shows for quite some time now. I always download torrent from www.d-addicts.com with English subtitle. Usually TV series they put on their site don’t have licensing in the US so I won’t have any problems downloading them. I gotta tell you TV series from Japan and Korea are really good. Most of Japanese shows are cute, heart-warming, romantic-comedy type of shows you know like your favorite manga. Some are too stupidly innocent, too much high school fighting in a really boring way. I also find Japanese people personality are just like manga you know like funny, robot kind of people. Just wonder, do they really talk and act like that in real life?
Korean TV series are more like realistic characters you know like how humans suppose to talk. Speaking of talking, I notice Korean people yell a lot or talk loudly when they talk in their normal conversation. I suppose it is in their nature. Their tv series always make me feel sensitive and most of the time crying in front of screen. People said their tv shows always have tragedy ending and starting like your lover has terminal illness or you grows up in poor family and fight for it until you becomes a successful business man. You see their plotting are so right out of soapbox but the way they make the shows are so intriguing. They have excellent actors and production to make up for their soapbox plot.
50 things you learn from Korean drama
Not just me to be crazy about Korean TV shows, I know all Korean music, fashion, food have been all over Asia in the last 7 years. They called it “Korean wave” I am not a fan of their music except soundtrack from tv shows but gotta say their stuff is really good from cosmetics to food.
I just finished watching Korean tv show called “The grand chef” we rented from Netflix. Oh boy I do love this show! It gives me smile and warmth
Oh and a leading guy in the show is quite charming. I have to search what else he was on so I can see him again

We just got back from Vero beach which is on the east coast of Florida. It took us around 3 hours or so to get there. It was raining quite a lot both ways back and forth. We were laying down and swimming on the beach just to have some fun. I think I should say we were just playing around, not really swimming, the tide was too strong for us to go any deeper. We had a nice vacation like we expected minus some food mishap
I don’t think we had luck on finding good foods at Vero this time. Of course I have some goofy pics of us for you guys.
- Not as nice as Samui though

My favorite sunscreen

I have an obsession with sunscreen since I was 15. My mother told me I should put it on now otherwise wrinkle, freckle and a whole lot of skincare problems would and will definitely visit me sooner than I thought. Since then I have put the sunscreen on my face diligently every single day never miss on a cloudy day. I still thank her every day for that on my skin nowadays.
On the way back from Thailand earlier this month; we stopped over our flight in Korea for 3 hours so I had time to kill and search on my high-end sunscreen for duty free price. I snapped Dior Snow protection UV SPF 50+++ which I had an eye for it for quite a while. So far I have used it once but I am very impress with it! It is quite an expensive sunscreen at $40 for 30ML (I think in the US they sell it for$46 at Neiman Marcus) even this is a duty free price so I’d better use it for special occasion.
I also bought a special package of Hanskin BB cream (blemish Balm) which is hugely popular all over Asia. Basically BB cream is everything you want in a tube; foundation, base, moisturizer, sunscreen. It has 3 different kinds of BB cream in full sizes for $56 as you can see from a picture. I am very astonished by the price because it is sold individually in the US (on the Internet) between$40-$65 a piece!! They all are quite good BB creams but I have used better brand named Gowoonsesang (I also attached the picture); I think this one far better and probably the best one I have been using so far, for a lot less money.
Back to sunscreen topic, when we were in Thailand, I bought Amway Multiprotect SPF 30 PA+++ from my sister (she is an Amway salesperson) I am blown away by how good this sunscreen is which I did not expect to be this good. It is a very effective sunscreen and has a very good base without being a base foundation. It gives me a nice little bright glow on my face without being too oily. It is not a cheap sunscreen ($40) and I would love to buy it again. Too bad it is sold only in Asia market.
I also bought a lot of natural organic skincare from Thailand that I will show you in later posts.
